One of the top housing markets to watch this year, according to a Nov. 29 report from real estate website Trulia Inc, is Austin. And that’s not really a surprise to Austin’s real estate community.
With steady growth over the last 6 years, Austin remains in the national spotlight as one of the hottest (pardon the pun) cities to live in today.
How did Trulia make this determination? The analysis highlights 10 metros poised for meteoric growth in 2019. Austin ranks No. 5 right behind Colorado Springs, Colo.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Jacksonville, Fla. and Bakersfield, Calif. Only one other Texas city, El Paso, made the list at No. 9.
Based on five factors — strong job growth, low vacancy rates, high starter-home affordability, home searches on Trulia, and share of the under-35 adult population.
What does all this mean to homeowners wanting to sell, or people looking at purchasing a home in 2019? It means that it’s time to enlist the help of a realtor ie: Team Womack, and let’s get this done in 2019!
